Help Jay, Audrina and Jason
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Amanda Digby. I am fundraising for my dear friend Audrina of 20+ years, her husband Jay and their beautiful son, Jason. Audrina and I became close during our time with the Colton High Football Program and we have remained close over the following years.
This past week, Jay was experiencing pain in his abdomen which he attributed to possible kidney stones. When the pain became too much, he was admitted into the emergency room for care. After many tests, he has been diagnosed with Acute Leukemia. He was transported that evening to the City of Hope for further treatment. They are now waiting for the results from a bone marrow test to see what the exact kind of Leukemia it is, as well as helping them identify a path for treatment. It is possible that moving forward, he may need a bone marrow transplant. Right now, we wait for test results.
A little about Jay: "My passion for music is what led me to become an Audio Engineer. It is a blessing to be able to do what you love, while working with artists that I grew up listening to. I also like to get down on some Call of Duty on Xbox." He also loves spending time with his family, going on roller coasters and eating pizza with his son Jason. He also would say that Audrina is the best cook he has ever known...lol.
Jay is a husband and a father and is relied on heavily by his family. This is quite a shock for all of them. With that being said, the City of Hope is not a quick, easy drive and he is to be admitted for at least a month to start with. Gas is expensive. Food is expensive. Medical bills are expensive. Any funds raised will go directly to these 3 needs. Audrina has always been there for us, now it is time for us to be there for her.
They are a strong family of Faith and truly believe that God will lead them to the path of healing. If you feel led to donate, it is greatly appreciated. If anything, please lend them your prayers as they start their walk down this long road.
I will be responding to any questions/comments, as Audrina and her family are very overwhelmed right now but they are so thankful for all of your help. I will also update this page as new information becomes available.
Thank you.
