Help Jay & Michelle Walters Rebuild After House Fire

On Thursday, April 3rd, Jay and Michelle Walters experienced a devastating house fire at their home in Fergus Falls. The fire, caused by an exterior fireplace and chimney, quickly spread to the attic and roofline, causing over $20,000 in damages.

Thankfully, Michelle and their beloved dogs were safely escorted out of the home by first responders. We are incredibly grateful for their safety—but the damage to their home has left them displaced and facing unexpected challenges and costs as they begin the process of rebuilding.

Jay and Michelle are longtime members of the Fergus Falls community—always kind, generous, and ready to help others in times of need. Now, they could use a little help from us.

We’re raising funds to help cover immediate needs such as temporary housing, replacing lost items, and repairs not fully covered by insurance. Every dollar makes a difference as they work to get back on their feet.
