Unfortunately our small club in East London isn't funded, so every trip abroad for international tournament is coming out of our own money, not to mention time off work, entries, travelling, accommodation, vitamins, treatment of injuries, equipment and so on.

Jay and myself (her coach Denys) both work part time since elite level boxing demands 2 sessions a day. I do a lot of extra work in flexible hours, doing PTs and working with schools, however at this stage it is extremely difficult for me to fund everything on my own.

We just won 3 unanimous decision in Golden Girl, Boras one of most prestigious female tournaments on planet. Our average opponent would be on a National team having funding and support of multiple professionals on their side. With little bit funding we could achieve a lot more than that.
