Help Jaynee and Her Dad Avoid Bankruptcy
Donation protected
Hello there! My name is Jaynee. I was a veterinary technician, but after a diagnosis and worsening symptoms of M.S. that cause me physical and cognitive issues, I was left unable to work. I have been living under my father's roof, expense-free, for years. He took on the financial responsibility of caring for me and our animals all by himself (we have two dogs, two cats and a bearded dragon that are very much our family). He has cared for me my whole life and has worked extremely hard to make ends meet. I have been denied for disability twice now in these years, and am now in the long process of waiting to appeal to a judge. The people making decisions for disability had made me an appointment with one of their own doctors for evaluation, and the doctor I saw scrunched up her face while looking at my chart and said, and I quote, "Why haven't they approved you yet?". Despite my obvious need for help, I have still been denied. In the meantime, we've had to choice but to use a credit card to cover necessary expenses. Clearly, this is not ideal with interest and such, but we haven't had anywhere else to turn. We are now at the end of our ropes. My dad's health is suffering as he has taken on multiple jobs and already has diabetes and neuropathy himself, and soon, we will likely have no choice but go go bankrupt. I'm terrified we will lose our home and lose everything else. This is my last resort. Every little bit will count towards keeping us afloat a little longer. Our credit card is currently just about maxed out at $15,000, hence the high donation goal. I really appreciate you taking the time to read this and possibly sharing it to other people you know that may be able to help. Thank you.
