Jayson: Fighting for his Life

I am organizing a GoFundMe for my sister, who is going through a tough time with her three-year-old son, Jayson, who is a twin. Jayson is my nephew who likes to get into things. You could say that he is going through his "terrible threes." Jayson is full of imagination; unlike his twin, Jackson, who modestly likes to keep his clothes on, Jayson likes going commando. We only had him with clothes for a split second for a successful Christmas picture.

On Monday, 3/7/2022, Jayson climbed out of a triple-decker third-floor window and fell onto the concrete ground, where he lay motionless. Fortunately, this was during broad daylight, and a passerby spotted him. He was not responsive, but he had a pulse. He sustained a copious amount of blood loss from his head and had "to be drained," per report. He is in a medically-induced coma with sedation. It is unclear what the prognosis is, and where we are going from here. What was reassuring was that the medical team told us that Jayson is currently "stable." My sister has been at Jayson's side tirelessly. She has other children at home as well who are being taken care of by her fiance.

My sister may not control the financial burden and emotional impact she may face, but she is not a complainer. She will never ask for help despite her situation. She lives on the third-floor apartment building in Dorchester, and she takes care of all of her seven children and never asks anything from me. She lives a frugal yet straightforward lifestyle. I am asking for a donation, gifts, charity, meals, prayers, anything you can do to help this strong woman get through and to help Jayson, who is fighting for his life.
