Help Jayson with his battle against HS Stage 3.
Donation protected
In August of 2020, Jayson was diagnosed with an autoinflammatory disease called HS-Hidradenitis Suppurativa. Its chronic systemic disease that causes bumps to develop as a result of blocked hair follicles and the sweat glands. Leaving draining wounds that have progressed over the last two years.
Currently, he is receiving IV-Infusion Therapy once every 4 weeks at Children’s Hospital of LA (CHLA). As well as Occupational Therapy twice a week with Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy once a week. Follow up with USC doctors once a month as well.
The disease has cause tunnels to form deep into his skin. Currently has open tracts that measure 6 inches in each armpit. So he will be having surgery to remove some of the scar tissue in order for new skin to hopefully start forming.
Travel time and cost in addition to his copays/co-insurances, has been overwhelming. Therefore, we are humbly asking for your help.
Although this condition will never fully go away, with your help, it can be managed after surgery. If you would like to learn more about this condition, you can go to https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/hidradenitis-suppurativa/symptoms-causes/syc-20352306
