Who I Am?

My name is Jullian “JB” Mitchell, founder of JB ASL Coaching. I’m a Black Deaf entrepreneur teaching American Sign Language the way it should be taught — through real communication, not complicated textbook lessons. My motto: Communicate. Not Study.

I teach live twice a day on TikTok, run Zoom cohorts, and coach one-on-one. I’ve built a real, engaged community of people learning to sign with confidence — beginners, hearing parents, teachers, and Deaf community members alike. My background includes representing Team USA on the National Deaf Soccer Team, years of VRS work, and full immersion in Deaf communities across the country and now in Puerto Rico.

The Challenge?

Here’s the truth: I’m doing this mostly by myself. I’m the teacher, the editor, the uploader, the marketer — all in one. That works up to a point, but it’s holding back what this platform could actually be.

I have hours of lessons, vocabulary breakdowns, and community content that need to be filmed properly and organized on a real website where people can learn anytime — not just catch it live and lose it in the feed.

The Goal: Why I’m Raising Funds?

This fund has one clear purpose: to hire a videographer/editor who can:

• Film my lessons, TikTok Lives, and coaching sessions with real production quality

• Edit and organize that footage into structured lessons

• Upload and maintain that content on a dedicated website/video platform

That’s it. No vague mission — a specific hire, so ASL education from JB ASL Coaching has a permanent, professional home online instead of disappearing into a livestream.
