Help JC Loop Fight Colon Cancer
Donation protected
If you have been to the Sedro-Woolley Rodeo in the past, chances are you have met JC Loop. This June Jason (JC) when to the ER with stomach issues. After a CT scan it was determined he had a mass that was blocking his colon and he was transferred to the Tri Cities where he was diagnosed with stage 2A colon cancer. He underwent surgery where they removed 80% of his colon and a 12.5 centimeter mass. 6 days later, it was determined that there was a leak in the bowel and a massive infection. He underwent a second surgery where they flushed out the infection, removed the rest of the colon and completed an ileostomy. During his 25 days in the hospital, Jason lost over 30
pounds, got pneumonia, got a wound infection and had some abscess form near his spleen. His incision had to be partially opened to remove the wound infection and will require a wound vac for about 8 weeks until it heals.
Jason grew up in Visalia, CA. He has a love of rodeo and competed in bull riding and team roping. He joined the Army and eventually landed in Washington State. He worked for 20 years as a farrier. Anyone who has met Jason knows he loves sports, kids and his community. He volunteered many hours coaching youth softball, wrestling and football. Prior to covid you would have found Jason in the Sedro-Woolley Rodeo arena every 4th of July as their rodeo clown. Jason would give the shirt off his back to those in need.
While Jason heals, life still goes on and the bills must be paid. Every little bit helps!
