Help Jeanine and Adam Wright
Donation protected
The first time my wife Jenny and I met Jeanine Wright was back in about 1995 when Jeanine and her husband adopted a little baby named Adam. Jenny has fond memories of helping with Adam's Baby Shower. In 1998 Adam was diagnosed with profound Autism. Her then husband promptly abandoned them. So, she has been the sole provider for herself and her 27-year-old son. She has set aside her own personal goals in order to care for him. Although she would not ever complain about any of it. She also cares for her 86-year-old mother, Arlene. She takes her to all her doctors visits, does all her grocery shopping and anything she needs around her home.
On August 7th this year Jeanine was rushed to St Pat's hospital in Missoula with severe swelling and pain in her knee. An MRI showed she had a serious bacterial infection. Upon this discovery she was immediately taken into emergency surgery. Jeanine was born with an extremely rare congenital platelet deficiency and due to this she has struggled her whole life. The doctors organized an infectious disease specialist team. 3 1/2 weeks later she is expected to be released to go home but she will have to endure 4 weeks of 7 day a week infusion of strong antibiotics at St Pats along with Physical Therapy. Her life and her leg are still at risk.
Jeanine doesn't like asking for help, so I am doing this fund raiser to ask people to consider helping her out of the present situation she is in. Partly because of the risk of the bacteria that infected her all the carpet needs to be ripped out of the house and new hard flooring installed. Along with that there is likely a need for flooring replacement in their decades old double wide. There is presently a hole in the floor in the pantry. A couple of years ago she fell through the front deck, and we have been looking for help with that. In fact, that deck and stair way is unsafe and needs to be removed and new decking and steps and possibly ramping needs to be installed. The back door has been unusable for years because the back deck has totally collapsed.
Jeanine and Adam love dogs but have realized that they need an outside run and shelter. There has been no convenient access to the house since their gate has been out of commission for some time. That gate needs to be rebuilt. Anyone familiar with building costs knows that the cost of these needed repairs is very high and far out of her reach on a fixed income.
I am Dallas Erickson. My wife Jenny and I have known Jeanine for several years and know that she is a survivor. She will get through this. But we are hoping and praying that her friends and family will help her out of this present predicament. Jenny herself has had help from family and friends in a Go Fund Me that helped to pay for very expensive treatment for leukemia. Without that generosity of friends and family she would not be here now. We are hoping for the same generosity for our friends, Jeanine and Adam.
Donations can also be made at Rocky Mountain Bank in Stevensville MT to the "Help Jeanine and Adam" account.
