Help Jeannette and Jasper Recover From the Flood

My sister Jeannette and her dog Jasper lost their home due to the devastating storm on December 18th. Their world got turned upside down due to tremendous flooding in her region of Newry / Bethel, Maine that wreaked havoc to her quaint little town. The waters raged through and took her foundation with them, leaving her with an inhabitable house and a living nightmare in its wake. 

 

Unfortunately Jeannette does not have flood insurance and her regular home owners insurance has denied any claims to help so we are hoping with all of our might that she will be able to receive assistance from FEMA and/or other organizations who provide assistance in natural disasters -- however the road ahead for her is long and very difficult to navigate. She is currently making it by with what she had in her car that day - her only possessions.

 

On her behalf, her friends and family have created this Go Fund Me page in hopes that we may be able to raise money to assist Jeannette in the near future. As my sister tries to pick up the pieces and begin again, our support will make all the difference. 

 

We kindly ask that if you are able to help, we would be forever grateful. Support is dearly needed as Jeannette is suddenly faced with an overwhelming mental, emotional, and financial burden.

 

We will forever be grateful that Jeannette and her dog Jasper are both safe and ok (under the circumstances).  If you know Jeannette wether it is from her amazing artwork, as a fellow rockhounder or just an amazing friend, then you know how amazing she is, You know how strong she is . We are so proud of her for taking this loss with as much grace as she has been.  She is the strongest person I know and she will get through this, especially with a little help from her friends. Anything you can contribute is greatly appreciated.
