Help Jeannine Fight Cancer

My name is Elizabeth El-Hage, and along with my brother Brian Carroll and sister Christine Urgo, we are raising funds for our beloved sister, Jeannine Hughes. Jeannine has been diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic cancer. She is undergoing numerous tests and procedures to discover the root cause of her cancer. As of today, we do not have a definitive origin point of her cancer, but we are hoping and praying for this information soon.

Jeannine is the mother of 3 beautiful girls and is a blessing to anyone who meets her. She is a kindhearted, generous, and compassionate person who genuinely wishes to help anyone who crosses her path. Her professional life has also reflected her lifelong dedication to helping others. She spent many years as the Associate Director of Faith Formation at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Cary, NC. There, she was instrumental in nurturing the Faith for a younger generation, both formally through her work and informally through the many relationships she developed there. She had just embarked on a new chapter in her career as a Special Education teacher at Cary High School when she received the devastating news of her cancer diagnosis. She has since been unable to work due to the sudden onslaught of her symptoms. She is now fighting fiercely against the unrelenting tide of cancer, and in this effort, she needs our help.

Jeannine is currently in the hospital, where she is being treated for her many painful and exhausting symptoms, as well as awaiting the start of chemotherapy treatment. We now have the opportunity to give back to Jeannine all the love and support she has afforded countless others throughout the course of her life. If you or anyone you know has undergone cancer treatment, you understand the emotional, mental, and financial toll this takes on the individual and the family at large.

From the moment of her diagnosis, we have been so blessed to have had, and continue to receive, the many prayers of countless people throughout many faith communities, and we are so grateful to have felt the comfort and joy this brings. At this point, we are reaching out to you on her behalf to address the extensive and ongoing financial burden of treating this horrible disease.
