Help Jeff and Emily Rebuild After Eaton Fire

Hi friends. My name is Emily Clark and I've been a performing arts educator in the Pasadena Unified School District since 2008, directing musicals at schools like Pasadena High School and Sierra Madre Middle School.

Just as I came back after winter break, ready to start work on Beetlejuice JR. at Sierra Madre Middle, my husband, Jeff Carey, and I became one of the many people to lose their home due to the devastation of the Eaton Fire in Altadena, California on January 8th, 2025. While we are very lucky to be safe with family while we get back on our feet, we could really use some help rebuilding the life we've lost. Anything you can donate would be greatly appreciated, as we escaped with little else but a couple of overnight bags and our beloved senior dog Charlie (who is totally fine, by the way, and more annoyed than anything else that he can't return to his favorite couch anytime soon). The funds we raise will go towards setting us up with a new apartment and everything that goes with it: furniture, appliances, bedding, electronics, and any other essentials (the loss of decades worth of sheet music cuts the deepest).

If you know us personally, I'd like to note that Jeff and I received every one of your texts, comments, and DMs and every single one of them meant the world to us. A wildfire can burn a lot, but it can't burn the cherished memories or friendships we built in our Altadena home. With your help, we will be able to rebuild new memories over the next year.
