Help Jeff and Kevin Rebuild After Devastating Fire

Donation protected
Dear Friends and Community,

The Archibald/Sanford family are currently facing unimaginable loss. Their home, originally built in the 20s, along with so many others in Altadena, was completely destroyed in the devastating Eaton Fire on January 8th. In a matter of moments, everything they worked for—treasured belongings, necessities, and their sense of security—was gone. Even as of right now, the fire is only 3% contained due to lack of resources in the city.

This family of three, Jeff Archibald, Kevin Sanford, and their sweet son Connor now faces the daunting challenge of rebuilding their lives from scratch. They’ve always been the first to lend a helping hand to others, and now they need ours.
From this surreal view when they were leaving their home for what would be the last time:

To coming back to the street to find nothing but debris and ash left

We are raising funds to help cover immediate needs such as clothing, baby essentials, temporary housing, and rebuilding their home. Any amount you can give will make a tremendous difference and bring hope to this wonderful family in their time of need.

Immediate Needs:

The family currently has temporary housing secured for about a week, but uncertainty looms beyond that. While they do have insurance, they've been unable to get through for any immediate assistance.

Funds will go towards meeting any needs that arise after any FEMA assistance is received. Given the number of people effected and the expected delays, the funds will be used to help cover temporary housing costs exceeding federal aid allowances.

Their goal is to rebuild and continue being vital members of the Altadena community they love so deeply. However, with so many families impacted by these fires, the path to rebuilding will be long and challenging.

If, like us, you’ve experienced their incredible kindness you know just how deep their care and generosity runs.

Now, it’s our turn to give back. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference in helping them rebuild their lives. Together, we can help restore the sense of safety, love, and home they’ve so selflessly offered to so many others.

How You Can Help:

  • Donate what you can
  • Share this fundraiser with your networks
  • Keep Kevin, Jeff and Connor in your thoughts as they navigate this challenging time

All funds will go directly to helping the family with both immediate needs and longer-term rebuilding efforts. We'll provide regular updates on their progress and specific ways your donations are helping them rebuild.

Thank you for any support you can offer - whether it's a donation, sharing their story, or sending words of encouragement. Let's show Jeff and Kevin, both decorated Marine Veterans, that the community they've helped build stands ready to help them in their time of need.

Thank you for your generosity, love, and support. Together, we can help them begin anew.

With gratitude,

Teresa and Scott Schuelke

A note about the organizers: For those who don't know us, Jeff and Kevin are a huge part of our lives. Kevin has been a steadfast mentor for countless years and got ordained and officiated our wedding back in October of 2024 and fundraised for us when we ourselves were facing a natural disaster. Today, we're organizing this fundraiser to help give back to two people who have given so much to so many.
