Help Jeff Beat Stage 4 Cancer

Jeff ( AKA THE HULK) is a man that has devoted his entire adult life protecting and serving his community and his country. Jeff was in law enforcement for over 10 years and also served in the United States Army.  My husband was that police officer that greeted you with a smile and didn’t mind being called out to your home to make your 5 year old take a bath! Although, CANCER took his profession away for him, he still has a heart to protect and serve. Less than a week ago he pulled a family out of their car at a horrible accident scene and waited until help arrived to ensure that they were ok. Additionally, he has instilled hope in others by sharing his story. Even staff at our local Mama Fu’s and church have heard his encouraging story to FIGHT for his family and to FIGHT because GOD has a BIGGER plan for his life.

How our life Changed ...

After our first family vacation 2 years ago, our lives changed at the blink of an eye. Jeff was complaining of excruciating stomach pain. Those that know Jeff know  that he has always been in tip top shape. He ate all the right things

(most of the time) and always worked out. After this vacation we sat in the VA emergency room only to find out that my husband had masses in his colon and liver. WE WERE DEVASTATED !

Jeff later went through various tests to be informed that he has stage 4 colon cancer and needed to undergo surgery immediately due to a blockage  which was the reason for the pain. We didn’t have time to think, nor process the situation. All we could think about was being too young to have colon cancer ( Jeff was 37 ) . He was rushed into surgery and 15 inches of his colon was removed and 30% of his liver. After that he went through months of chemotherapy which he developed a severe allergic reaction and almost died twice. After  chemotherapy was determined to be too much of a risk for him, he started taking radiation for two new nodules found in his lungs . After many sleepless nights and no results from the radiation, we got a second opinion and was sent to a specialty hospital with the hopes for a MIRACLE! Jeff was immediately accepted into a trial study due to his age and health condition. He started the trial in February of this year and was just recently informed that the cancer has spread and the trial was deemed unsuccessful. In addition to that, due to his sensitivity to chemotherapy he is left without options.

Next Steps..

Our goal is to raise money to cover medical expenses and  to provide him with CHANCE to live. We are currently seeking other options including immunotherapy, Cancer Centers of America, and non traditional medical care. We are a family that believes in prayer, so please pray for complete healing for Jeff . Any donations would greatly be appreciated and if you have any options that we may not have considered, please feel free to share. Thank you.
