Support the Jeff Loftus Family

On Wednesday, May 8th, Jeff was involved in a motorcycle accident that has left his family needing all the prayers and help we can give. Jeff was transported by ambulance, then life flighted to Peoria, where he remains over a week later in ICU with a very, very long road to recovery in front of him. Unfortunately, due to the accident, Jeff has suffered a traumatic brain injury with a brain bleed, multiple facial/skull fractures and other medical issues. Several days after the accident, all signs were pointing towards recovery and our prayers were being answered. Jeff was responding to stimuli, able to say a few words and no longer needed to be intubated. There was confusion but that was to be expected due to the brain injury and his medication. His Neuro team was very optimistic and discussing next steps in his recovery. Multiple CT scans have been done since his arrival and continue to be, blood clots were starting to be found, but those could be dealt with per his medical team.

However, Jeff has since taken a turn for the worse, having suffered at least one stroke, was intubated again and taken just a few nights ago to emergency surgery to relieve brain pressure/swelling, and is not responding how any of us would like. The Neuro team has done all they can for Jeff at this point and it has now become a wait and see, hoping his body can respond and praying it can start to heal. Carol has not left his side since last week and Christi has been there every second she can, supporting her mom and being there for her dad. With Jeff owning his own business, income is not coming in and we wish to raise money to help with day-to-day expenses to help offset some stress for Carol and let her continue to focus on Jeff. We all know that the Loftus family is a large, well-loved family who always reach out to help others, now we ask for help for Jeff and Carol.
