Help Jeff Rice battle stage 4 cancer

Jeff and Jane Rice have been Foxboro residents for over 35 years. In that time, they have raised three children and dedicated much of their time serving the community. If you know the Rice’s you have likely been on the receiving end of their generosity. Over the years they have also volunteered their time at the community center, served as troop leaders for the Boys and Girls Scouts for over a decade, and are active participants on a ConfiKids team which is a non profit helping fund enrichment opportunities for children. Jane has also served the Taylor Elementary School for 21 years and has selflessly volunteered many additional hours giving back to the school and community by teaching cooking classes, volunteering for after school events and more. Jeff also dedicated many years to building props and volunteering at the Annual Norfolk Aggie Haunted Hayride.

Recently Jeff was diagnosed with stage 4 Salivary Duct Carcinoma. Jeff will need radiation 5 days a week in Boston, and Chemotherapy/Infusions once a week for a year. Jeff is no longer working and unfortunately Jane will likely need to take unpaid days off during this time. There are many out of pocket medical expenses and medications that are not being covered in Jeff’s journey to defeat this cancer. As a community, we would love to come together to give back to a family that has given so much to others. These funds would be used to help towards the medication cost, medical and dental bills that have accrued, and help offset the expense of traveling into the city each day. Any little bit can help.
