Help Jeff Sandy Fight Cancer
Donation protected
It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that our dad, Jeff Sandy has been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. This is extremely hard as his children to write, but we imagine it is even harder as a parent to go through with 5 younger kids. Our dad is an amazing man, a bright light, a happy and hardworking man, and one of the most understanding people we have ever known. He lives with a positive attitude and cares deeply about those around him.
Our dad was diagnosed with ocular melanoma (eye cancer) in December 2019 after his annual checkup at the optometrist. There is no cause for this cancer, and it is extremely rare, as only 1 in 5 million people get it.
Throughout the last couple of years, our dad has received care from some of the best Doctors in the country in San Francisco, as well as plenty of scans, MRIs, and radiation to slow the spread.
However, his last liver biopsy (March 2023) confirmed 4 tumors in his liver, as well as 2 on his spine, confirming metastatic uveal melanoma. This is devastating news for our entire family, and we are trying to do everything we can to make his life easier. There are treatments and trial options that he will be following from the UCSF Department of Oncology. He will be undergoing radiation and immunotherapy for both his back and liver starting in May to slow the spread.
Unfortunately, the cost of these medical bills are very expensive, and we are hoping to make his life easier by raising funds to cover these expenses. We are hoping this alleviates any extra stress and allows him peace throughout this challenging journey.
Any amount you can donate will be greatly appreciated and will go directly to my dad’s medical bills. My family is grateful for all the support during this devastating time and are thankful for any and all help. Please keep my dad and our family in your prayers <3
