My name is Chantel Taylor and I am the daughter of Jeff Taylor and niece of Benjamin Taylor. My family was brutally murdered by Randall Kilby. I am raising funds to help with funeral expenses of both victims, back owed property taxes to keep their home from foreclosure, attorney fees, and some remaining bills owed.
My father had brought Randall into his home to help him get his life back on track about a year ago. He enjoyed helping people and believed in second chances. Unfortunately Randall was not interested in recovery or making a better a life. Randall had gotten in to trouble with an assault followed by another assault that we would later learn was actually a murder during his stay with my father. After the first assault my father tried to kick Randall out of his home only to be threatened that "he would pay". A few months later Randall struck Daphne Killian-Banks over the head, at the time claiming she had fallen from a stool and hit her head. He was arrested and then released by the District Attorney with a claim that there wasn't substantial evidence to hold him. Daphne's family later chose to remove her from life support after finding out she was brain dead.

After being released, Randall came back to my father's house trying to convince everyone that he was innocent. He proceeded to threaten my father that he would kill him by slitting his throat in his sleep if he tried to make him leave. I reached out to the Bend PD about the threats and they said there was nothing they could do. Now two months later my family was killed by hatchet blows from Randall Kilby because my Dad was trying to kick him out. Guess he finally followed through on his promise. Thanks to DA John Hummel for letting this man run free. I wonder if he will let him go again this time...?
