Help Jeff through his cancer diagnosis

Hello, I’m putting this GoFundMe together in hope to gather some help for my dad Jeff Zimmerman. After a couple of months of dramatically loosing weight, feeling off, and discovering a mass on his side, he went to urgent care and found out the most life changing news we would all hear. After many doctor visits, tests, and many days of waiting, he was recently diagnosed with a rare cancer called Spindle Cell Neoplasm Sarcoma. The tumor on his side has been growing and is now the size of his lung. It is malignant, which means that it is cancerous and unfortunately not benign. He had a biopsy on Monday, 8/19/24, where his doctor found out what kind of cancer it is, which then got sent to Cleveland to get a further diagnosis which will hopefully narrow the type and stage down. But for now, he is scheduled for surgery on Tuesday, 8/27/24, to get it removed. They will have to make an incision down his entire abdomen and will not only have to remove the tumor, but also anything else it has attached itself to so everyone is going in somewhat blind to how severe this surgery will become. He will then spend at least a week in the hospital recovering, and then he will be home on bed rest to finish recovering. He will have to follow up with chemotherapy and/or radiation, depending on results we receive from Cleveland, a pathology test on the tumor, and a PET scan following the surgery. Please join me in helping raise some money to pay the medical/hospital bills that are coming in the near future as we all know how outrageous those can be. My dad is the most selfless and hardworking man I’ve ever met in my life, he is more deserving of this help than words can describe.
