Help Jeffrey Beat Cancer

I am putting together a fundraiser for my best friends. They would do it for me & I know God wants me to step up and help as needed. They would never ever ask for a dime & would give the shirt off their backs to anyone in need. So join me for their story below.

Jeffrey and Sarah Martin live in Northeast Mississippi and have two boys — Silas, 6, and Jude, 3. In June 2023, their lives were changed when Jeffrey went for some routine cardiac screening tests, and some liver lesions were found that were suspicious for metastases. After numerous tests, scans, and procedures, the cause was found: Stage 4 colon cancer with liver Mets. The plan is for him to have chemo every two weeks for 6 months with follow-up blood work every two weeks, as well as follow-up scans every 2 months. At the end of the 6 months, the tentative plan is that he’ll have surgery either at UAB in Birmingham or UMMC in Jackson to remove whatever cancer the chemo doesn’t shrink. This 6 month mark will fall sometime around or after Christmas.

Jeffrey’s chemo treatments will cost $400 every two weeks. That doesn’t count doctors appointments, blood work, follow-up scans, etc, all of which can also be very costly. He is also only working every other week, as he is unable to work on his chemo weeks, and he and his wife will both have to be off for at least a few weeks for his surgery, hospitalization, and recovery after the 6 month of chemo.

They are still trying to provide fun times and normalcy for their boys while staying positive and hopeful and know that God is with them through the storm, no matter what the outcome is. If you are unable to donate, please keep them in your prayers!
