Help Jeff's loved ones as they grieve

Donation protected
Dear friends,

Jeff Walls was a lot of things: a skateboarder, a photographer, a gearhead with a soft spot for 1970s muscle cars, a collector of comic books, sports cars, NBA memorabilia, and cameras. But as he would have been the first to tell you, being a father to his 16-year-old son, Harvey, was the most important of all.

Jeff's life was cut short on October 4, when he died after experiencing complications from endocarditis and stroke. It was a tragic loss for the people who knew and loved him—a group that, besides family and friends, included everyone from former YMCA skateboard campers and photography clients to thrift-store proprietors and fellow comic-book guys.

Jeff's death was an unbearably sudden shock for Harvey, as well as for Jeff's co-parent, Andi, and his partner, Olivia. In the midst of overwhelming grief and uncertainty about a life without Jeff, they are also facing the reality of packing, moving, and securing storage for collections that span decades. The road ahead also includes the expenses of adjusting to life without a co-parent, memorial costs, accessing mental-health support, and planning for Harvey's future.

If you can, making a donation would help Harvey, Andi, and Olivia greatly. It will assist them with necessary expenses in the coming months, as well as allowing them time and help to navigate this painful transition.
