Help Jelisaveta win the battle with Lyme Disease!

Hello! Thank you for visiting this fundraiser. My name is Natalija Mladenović and I am raising money for my younger cousin Jelisaveta Jovanović. She is a creative person who loves music, medicine, long walks and spending time with friends. Jelisaveta has Lyme disease for 2+ years. She went from being energetic, hardworking, social person to housebound, because of exhaustion and fatigue that this disease caused. Lyme stopped her from making progress and becoming a nurse, for which she studied and trained hard. She hasn’t been able to work or do basic every day activities because of her symptoms.

Most Lyme treatments are not covered by insurance, and so patients typically pay over $500 for frequent tests, medications, and complementary therapies. After years of such expenses, coupled with her inability to work, Jelisaveta and her family financial resources are severely strained.

These treatments will help her regain her health and livelihood.

Her symptoms are constant temperature (37,2 - 37,3), her knees and elbows are swollen and she has trouble with her heart (tachycardia, arrhythmia, thickened pericardium and 2mm effusion on the heart) and nausea almost every day. She also has Mycoplasma pneumonia in her lungs, due to Lyme disease.

Jelisaveta needs our help. She is battling these symptoms daily, but she is a fighter and a very optimistic and happy individual.
