Help Jen THRIVE healing from Rare cancer plus amputation.

In 2022 on our daughter’s 37th birthday she was given the devastating news she had osteosarcoma a very rare bone cancer and would need treatment 2 hours away in Newcastle Freeman away from her husband and boys.

Osteosarcoma is a childhood cancer and only has very limited treatments. Nothing has changed in around 40 years and sadly many do not make it.

After the most barbaric chemotherapy regime plus limb saving surgery where they removed her knee and leg bone and replaced with titanium she was then told the chemotherapy did not work.
She tried once again for her family but ended up having to walk away from treatment due to the horrific side effects and sepsis 4 times.
She built herself up and learned to walk again and she thrived on her own using holistic therapies, changing her whole lifestyle and outlook on life.
Then in October 2023 they told her it was in her lungs and she would need surgery to remove it.
Again doing this for her husband and boys she went ahead. Recovery was tough but she did it she was starting to make plans and move on with life dreaming of ending this nightmare and taking her kids on a well deserved family holiday then March 2024 she had a CT and due to the contrast they use was given a life long infection in her leg called MSSA. Not only that, they then told her she had 2 more lung nodules.
She had surgery on both lungs as well as several surgeries on her infected leg to be then told the infection was so bad they would need to amputate.

Sept 11th 2024 they removed her leg. While in hospital she received the devastating news her wonderful friend Donna had passed away from the same horrific disease due to many infections caused by the treatment. She was a great friend and support having someone going through the same nightmare and they kept each other going.
As you can imagine this really affected her and made her even more determined to beat this and be there for her family.

Wheelchair bound was not going to stop her from walking and getting her life back so immediately started physio and learning to walk with a prosthetic leg.
Nothing was going to stop her.
Then January 2025 a recent CT showed 6 more lung nodules. This time surgery is not an option and chemotherapy has a very low % of success and this is if she got through without the many life threatening infections and side effects.

So here we are trying to help her in any way possible with funding towards holistic treatments to keep her mind, body and soul as healthy as we possibly can and keep her going for her boys.

As you can imagine this is very costly and nobody should have to make these hard choices especially when trying to keep things as normal as she can with 3 young boys.

We are grateful for any support you can give them so that the financial burden is taken away.
She is willing to do anything to stay alive and we need to make these options possible which wouldn’t be without help.
We will update you on her journey and where that money is going to help her thrive.

We are currently looking at what options she can take and cost etc so for now will start at £15,000 but this will more than likely have to rise especially if she needs to travel. We are going to go through her protocol and work things out.

Thank you for reading.
