Help Jeneice Overcome Housing Crisis

Hi, my name is Jeneice and we've been displaced since April 2022. After renting the same house for 8 years, through a pandemic, we didn't expect our landlord to up and sell the house and tell us to leave with about 3 months' notice.

Even with good credit and two full-time working adults, my husband and I found ourselves, and our newly rescued Cane Corso, homeless and living in a motel. After my husband became ill and almost died, we've been staying with family since, but this is just a burden on an already crowded house.

We are both very hardworking and never imagined ourselves in this position before, especially going on 3 years now of this nightmare. Please understand, we've been together on our own since we were 21/22 years old, so to be going through homelessness due to no fault of our own 20 years later is jarring for us, especially during the state of the country right now. Which makes this request even harder, but we just want to raise enough money for a downpayment on our 1st home.

Most of our things are in a storage unit, but it's been 3 years, and we have no idea what will still be salvageable, so the extra money would go to furnishing replacement and moving costs.
