Help Jenn Beat Multiple Sclerosis

Jennifer has been my best friend since middle school and while she has always been there for me through thick and thin, she has been fighting a battle of her own. Please read her story and consider contributing to her fight.
Jenn was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in her early 20s. She was once an active water polo player, hiker, and ready for anything life could throw at her. Hosting get togethers with friends, helping the special needs community, helping those struggling with addiction and going to culinary school to share her love of cooking with others. Suddenly, life took a drastic turn, the entire left side of her body went numb and soon discovered she had Multiple Sclerosis; a progressive disabling disease that has no cure.
Immediately she began treatment, which included injecting herself weekly. Leaving her with unforgiving side effects, flu like symptoms and pain. MS attacks the brain and spinal cord a putting the Central Nervous System (CNS) in a state of chaos. Her body starts attacking the protective sheath (myelin) covering the nerves fibers in the brain and spinal cord, severing and delaying communication to the rest of the body.
After several more hospital stays to put the disease in remission she required a more aggressive treatment, monthly IV infusions to slow the disease progression. The available drugs simply ease symptoms and slow down progression, but not cure or reverse the disease from getting worse.
She has been living with the disease progression for over a decade now and in her 30s, it has taken a toll on her body. Her ability to walk has drastically deteriorated. Relying on a wheelchair to get around. Her ability to feed herself has become a task requiring supervision so she doesn’t choke from her dysphasia and delayed swallowing. Cooking has become a memory as she relies on others to prepare meals and keep up the home.
Her day revolves around her home visits from physical therapist, occupational therapist and caregiver. Needing constant help transferring from her bed, to her wheelchair, to the bathroom. Getting dressed, brushing her hair and showering are now tiresome and exhausting to preform.
She requires a shower chair, diapers, grab bars, afo’s and recently prescribed a hospital bed. Trapped in a body that refuses to communicate with itself and completely dependent on others to feed, clothe and bathe her.
Recently, she was introduced to a treatment that can help her tremendously. Stem Cell Theapry has been a proven treatment to halt, reverse and allow the nerves to regain their lost ability to communicate with one another again. Reconnecting the nerve fibers, creating new connections and stop the body from attacking itself. She will regain the ability to walk, lift and hold things, digest food, allowing her body to be in control again.
Please help Jenn, she has been through so much with this unforgiving disease and just needs some help to pay for this life changing treatment. Any amount, no matter how small helps. If you can share her story that would be wonderful too! She just needs some help so she can get her independence and her life back.
Thank you for reading. Please share www.HelpJenn.com and please consider contributing to her fight. Every little bit helps.
