Help Jenn recover from medical emergency

On November 26, 2023, I experienced a life-shattering medical emergency. I was rushed to ER and needed immediate surgery - and there was only a 50% chance I'd survive. Following the first emergency surgery, I took a very expensive ambulance ride to another hospital 90 min away, where I spent a week in the ICU, had another emergency surgery, then remained in the hospital to stabilize for another three weeks. I had a LOT of complications and lost 33 lbs during my month in the hospital. 

I put off creating a GoFundMe because I'm still processing the trauma (now in PTSD therapy 3x a week) and not yet ready to talk about what happened in detail.

That said, I now owe more than $30k in medical bills. I haven't been able to work for the past few months since I've been recovering in a hospital bed at my parents' house and I've completely drained my savings to continue paying rent for my apartment, which I hope to return to soon.

UPDATE 9/5/24: 

After the worst ten months of my life, it turns out I desperately need another surgery but Kaiser continues to be an absolute nightmare and refuses to refer me to anyone who can actually help. The new surgery should be around $15k but may be up to $22k if I have complications. I need to pay *in full* by 9/13 in order to have the surgery on 9/23. I really hate to ask for help again after so many of you have been so generous but I really don't know what else to do. The Incident has stolen a year of my life from me and I *need* this surgery to get back to doing normal things (like walking & lifting more than 5 lbs) and get back to LIVING.
