Help Jenna and Jeremy Rebuild After a Terrible Accident

Donation protected
At 6 AM on a cold Vermont morning, Good Samaritan Haven’s Recovery Shelter Manager, Jenna Collins, and her partner Jeremy Dufresne were driving from their remote home when they hit a patch of black ice, skidded off the road, and collided with a tree.

The crash was severe. Jenna was pinned between the car and the tree, requiring an emergency extraction. Jeremy suffered a major impact with the windshield. Jenna sustained multiple broken bones, some severe enough to require several surgeries. Jeremy is grappling with significant ear trauma and other injuries.

Their road to recovery will be long and difficult. It’s clear that returning to their isolated, rural home is no longer sustainable given their medical needs.

Jenna is deeply dedicated to serving our most vulnerable neighbors through her work in homelessness and recovery services. Now, she and Jeremy need our help.

Funds raised will help them:
    •    Find Local Housing: Closer to hospitals, physical therapy, and supportive community resources in the Montpelier-Barre-Berlin area.
    •    Replace Their Vehicle: Essential for attending medical appointments and returning to work when the time comes.
    •    Cover Medical Expenses: Including hospital stays, surgeries, rehabilitation, and any unforeseen costs during their recovery journey.

Please give what you can. Every dollar makes a difference, and your generosity will help them rebuild their lives after this devastating accident. Let’s show them the same compassion and care they’ve shown our community. Together, we can get them back on solid ground.
