Help Jenna help Foster Babies

When Jenna was 1 year old she was diagnosed with Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis, a cancer that attacked her liver, skin, and bone marrow. As a result, she underwent over a year of chemotherapy and months in and out of the hospital. Once she was in remission, Jenna was put on the liver transplant waiting list. After waiting five long years, she finally received a new liver in 2019. She is 10 years old now and healthier than she’s ever been.

Jenna’s exposure to other critically ill children throughout her childhood, and the compassionate and respectful care she has received from care providers, has made her empathetic and kind beyond her years. She is particularly aware of the needs of babies and young children. It is out of this keen awareness and love that Jenna has chosen, in partnership with her school, MyTechHigh, to do this service project for babies and toddlers in UtahFoster Care.

Over 15 babies and toddlers are placed into foster care each month in Utah and foster families often receive these children without any supplies at all. Jenna’s project is to stock 50 diaper bags with essential supplies - diapers, wipes, clothing, small toy, diaper rash cream, burp cloth, bottles, pacifier, and a blanket - with the intent that the bag stays with the child and foster families have what they need to care for these precious children.

MyTechHigh has generously donated $500 to assist Jenna with her project. To bring Jenna’s vision to fruition, we need to raise $2500 more. Please donate and/or share with your friends. Jenna's goal is to complete her project by June. Thank you!
