Help Jenney’s Lung Transplant Recovery

Hi all! If you know Sara Bush, you know that she is a funny and generous Southern lady. Her only child, Jenney, recently had some health issues that quickly escalated to a necessary lung transplant. Sara is a devoted mother and will not let Jenney go through this alone.

Jenney graduated last year and became an RN. She was offered and accepted a great job even before she graduated! She noticed a decline in her health, and both she and Sara assumed it was because she was working too hard. Sara should know, she recently recovered from her own serious health issues.

In early spring, Jenney went to the hospital with shortness of breath and low oxygen levels. She was flown to Philly for care from health professionals with more experience. After multiple hospital visits, it was decided that Jenney’s pulmonary problems could only be fixed with a lung transplant.

In mid June a donor was found and Jenney had a successful transplant, but the hard work isn’t over. Her recovery requires weekly trips to Philly over the next six months. Many expenses are not covered by insurance, including their lodging, gas and food.
