Help Jennie Beranek Beat Cancer! #Jenniestrong

On January 16th, 2020 my sister-in-law, Jennie Beranek received the devastating news that she  had breast cancer. She was diagnosed with Stage 3c Triple Negative Invasive Ductal Carcinoma.  The start of the new year is when she began her treatment plan.  Jennie had outpatient surgery in February to put in her port and then began  five months of chemo  which she  just completed last week!   While this is a HUGE milestone in her journey, she still has a double  mastectomy scheduled for August 13th  with approximately six weeks off of work.  Radiation will then follow the surgery at a date to be determined.  After radiation, then the reconstruction process will begin.  Reconstruction takes a few months and right now there is surgery planned for early 2021  to complete that process. This will mean at least a month or more of unpaid time away from her job plus she will have to pay the full cost of the  health insurance premium for a portion of her time off.  There will also be a large out of pocket deductible to hit again in 2021 when she has to undergo those surgeries.  This is where we are asking our friends and family to please consider helping out.  Jennie has made huge strides in her recovery and we have witnessed from afar how she has handled all of this with such dignity and an amazing positive attitude.  We can all help make a difference with easing the burden of these medical costs while she continues this fight.   I know Jennie, John, Katie and Brandon would all greatly appreciate your support  and words of encouragement.   #Jenniestrong
