Help Jennie Toms and Heidi Perkins flood recovery
Donation protected
hi, my name is Dove and I am fundraising for Jennie Toms and Heidi Perkins to assist in their recovery from the devastating Lismore floods.
I live in Melbourne and have been watching the horror unfold from afar. Lismore is my hometown. Jennie and Heidi were the first friends my sister Piaf made in high school (Richmond River kids from way back). She’s known them for 27 years, and I’ve seen them grow up.
Jennie and Heidi and their families have lost everything: their houses were destroyed, along with all their worldly possessions and precious memories.
Jennie has a family of four to support, as well as her disabled mother, Sue. They are currently homeless, and the family scattered. Jennie has temporary accommodation with a friend, but there isn’t enough room for the children, so they are spread between various friends. They need stable accommodation which can support Sue’s needs. Jennie is now unemployed, as the small business she worked for was also flooded.
Heidi has a family of six, and also supports her elderly father. They are living on a single income.
Please help them start to rebuild their lives. What they have lost is incalculable, and we won’t be able to replace it with a gofundme. But we can provide them with a financial buffer to try and help them claw their way out from this mess, and to get their families back together. Any amount you can spare will assist.
