Help Jennifer battle Leukemia

Just wanted to give an update. I’m on day 9 in the hospital, and I first want to thank everyone, all of my friends and family for all the love and support I’ve been receiving. It really really means so much to me.

I finally got test results back, and I do have BCR-ABL-positive ALL. Dr suspects I had CML for maybe a few years, as it’s slow progressing that then turned into the ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia) over the last few weeks. It’s affecting my B cells, which are the cells responsible for fighting viral infections and I am Ph+ (Philadelphia Chromosome positive) in short, the Ph+ is responsible for making the cancer cells and is very resistant to Chemo.

I have decided to do a clinical trial for my treatment. It has had a lot of success, especially with this Ph+ factor. I will be randomly chosen to take 1 of 2 paths in the trial. One being a combination of chemo and one of the new drugs. The second one is no chemo, and a combination of 3 new drugs. As I said, both have had a lot of success. At this point I’m just trying to stay positive, I know mentality can affect everything. So again, I appreciate all the love and support, keep it coming if you can. I love you all
