Help Jennifer Doty through Recovery
Hi, My name is Melissa King and I'm fundraising for Jennifer Doty.
Some of you may already be aware that Jennifer Doty was unexpectedly diagnosed with Stage 2-3 Multiple Myeloma. She found about this on Halloween of 2020. Since then, she has had very intense Chemotherapy and a Bone Marrow Stem Cell Transplant on April 1,2021.This surgery will extend her life anywhere from 1yr- 10 yrs. Jen being able to properly recover in the confines of her home is essential and critical ,as she is immunocompromised. She has since been hospitalized for very high fevers, very low blood pressure, lost all of her hair, has had several complications and is in constant debilitating pain. She will not know if this surgery is a success until the 90th day.
Unfortunately, there is no cure for this cancer, only possible temporary remission.
Jennifer is a incredible mother, daughter, sister ,and the best friend you can ask for.
She has not been able to work since November 2020. This is a very tough situation for her to be in at this time and I was hoping we can all help to relieve some stress so she can focus solely on recovery.
If you know Jen, then you know she has the biggest heart and is the first person to help anyone that needs it. I've been Jen's best friend for over 20 yrs and seen her be there for so many people in so many different capacities and I know she isn't one to ask for help..especially monetary help. She will need it though ,and will be more than grateful for any amount you can spare. She hasn't been able to get SSI since it's a very long process getting approved. She has very high medical bills, amongst normal costs of living being a single mom.I have seen Jen create these accounts for so many people that I decided to set it up for her! She needs to focus on recovering and relieve any stress..so she can spend time with her loved ones, especially her 10 yr old daughter Mikinsey.. who she has the most incredible bond with..
She is very grateful for all the prayers and beautiful messages that she receives daily. If you are unable to donate financially, please continue to pray! Jen is the strongest person I know and incredibly strong in her faith. I want to deeply thank everyone for taking your time to read this. Please share this and have a blessed day!
