Help Jennifer and It's The Sweet Things recover!

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Andi and I am fundraising for Jennifer Worthley, owner of It's The Sweet Things Bakery in Bellingham, WA.

On September 15th, 2023 Jennifer got into a major car accident on the freeway and totaled her car. She has suffered serious injuries, including a concussion and whiplash, among other things.

Jennifer runs her bakery, It's The Sweet Things, with a small team and does all of the baking herself. She is an active part of our community and loves what she does. I have seen her build her business from the ground up over the last five years - opening the storefront downtown 14 months ago.
She has put in countless sleepless nights, always with a smile on her face, and brings such a positive light to our community.

She has been a part of important celebrations, given back to the community through non-profit work, dessert donations from her business, and runs a birthday cake program for less fortunate families because she truly believes every child deserves the joy of having a birthday cake, regardless of the challenges their parents may be facing.

She has been struggling to regain full use of her cognitive functions, and has been pushing herself to continue operations to make sure that her business does not fail as a result of this accident. The bakery was closed last weekend, directly following the accident, and will be closed again this week as well because she needs to rest her mind in order to heal and not sustain more long term injuries.

The best thing for her healing process would be to close until October and reopen after her mind has healed. Unfortunately, with the business being so new in the storefront, and the nature of a bakery business regardless, financially that simply won't be an option unless she gets some help.

Let's help Jennifer, and It's The Sweet Things, remain part of our amazing community by helping her get through these next few weeks, with thousands of dollars in lost revenue, and more medical visits on the horizon.

Right now she is in the position of having to choose between jeopardizing her health and trying to function when it literally hurts to think, or possibly closing the doors to her bakery.

I am asking those that are able to help to show her that we care and we want to see her make it through this!

Even if you are unable to donate - sharing this is also a great way to show your support.
