Help Jennifer Moffat Beat Breast Cancer

Donation protected
With a heavy heart, I share that my sister Jennifer has been diagnosed with stage 3 invasive breast cancer. Jennifer needs to start a treatment plan immediately to have a fighting chance.
It was just 3 weeks ago that Jennifer called me to tell me that she was on her way to get some testing, after she found a lump in her left breast. Jennifer is still young, and was feeling healthy. We are both nurses, so we talked about her situation as nurses would, and believed everything would be ok. Sadly, over the next couple of weeks, her results got scarier and scarier. Jennifer remained positive as always. First they found 2 tumors, so we talked about the worst case scenario of surgery. Then they found 9 more tumors, and we talked about radical breast removal and the potential for reconstructive surgery. This seemed serious, and would be a major disruption to her life, but still survivable. Then the doctors confirmed lymph node involvement, and scheduled further testing after an MRI showed 2 bone lesions that were highly suspicious for metastasis.
A (PET) scan was completed. The Results discounted the bone lesions, but confirmed the 11 Tumors and the spread to three Lymph Nodes.
Jennifer’s doctors are recommending an intensive treatment plan that will last through the end of this year. Jennifer’s husband and 3 children are her heartbeat, and she should be spending as much time with them as possible.
Jennifer has worked tirelessly, taking care of others and her family. She has spent the last 12 years as an RN, caring for the elderly, disabled, and terminally ill. My hope, is that we can help take care of her now. Jennifer always puts her patients first and has an outstanding work ethic, making it difficult for her to recognize it is time for her to be of priority now. I want Jennifer to remain positive and hopeful, and if you feel comfortable, please feel free to leave a message of encouragement for Jennifer. Donations will go towards her treatment (and related costs) & extended time out of work.

With love & gratitude, Alison (Jen’s little sister)
