Help Jennifer & Tony move from Spokane to Virginia
Donation protected
Hi friends and family! In February I was called by ICU in Virginia. The doctors didn’t think my mom would make it. I caught the quickest flight I could find. I was in a daze praying she would hang on long enough for me to get there. Thankfully she did. I slept in the ICU with her for the week. With different medical procedures she improved and we moved to a different room in the hospital. The following week we moved to a rehabilitation facility. She is resilient however needs to gain her strength to be able to stand and walk. Currently she is still bedridden.
This sobering situation presented itself with a choice to make. I am an only child and I could not imagine not being by her side and helping with all the decisions and management of her long term care. Despite all the factors and circumstances, the choice was clear that my next assignment needed to be here in Virginia with her and her roommate John who is also on disability. The housing situation for both of them is an emergency and I need to stabilize the situation.
So….that means that Tony and I both put in our resignations in Spokane. We need to pack up the house in Spokane. Ship our stuff on a moving truck. Ship the car. Fly with our 2 cats Pippi and Rollie Pollie. Find new employment. Secure housing for ourselves. Put down deposits and pay first month rent. All the things all at once! Whew!
Needless to say, we are generating and manifesting in a whirlwind.
We humbly ask for your financial support in any amount that feels appropriate for you. Every contribution is a blessing to get us across the country again.
We love you all! Our connections in Spokane are lasting and we will return for events and canoe journeys. I am still committed to hosting events and workshops that highlight healing through the arts and our indigenous communities.
