Help Jenny Care for Hailey in This Crisis

Dear Friends and Family,

I am reaching out with a heavy heart to share that my best friend Jenny’s daughter, Hailey, suffered a stroke last week and is currently in the pediatric ICU receiving round-the-clock care. She underwent one procedure last week and unfortunately was just informed that she has another bleed and has to undergo it again today.

As a single mother of three and the sole provider for her family, this has been an incredibly challenging time. Some time ago, her spouse left unexpectedly, leaving behind a significant amount of bills falling on just Jenny. This situation put her at risk of eviction, all while she tries to care for her children and support her daughter through her recovery.

Unfortunately, her job and union do not provide paid or partially paid FMLA, which means that although she qualifies for just 12 weeks of time off without jeopardizing her employment, she still has to worry about how to support her family AND take care of Hailey. As she navigates this difficult situation, she will need help to meet the basic needs of her family while being by her daughter's side.

I am turning to you—my friends and family—during this time of crisis. Your generosity will help cover essential living expenses, medical costs, and the everyday needs of her family while she cares for her daughter.
