Help Us Stabilize After Losing Our Home

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted humans,

On January 8, 2025, we lost our home and everything we owned.

Our home in Altadena wasn’t just a house; it was a place we poured our hearts into—a space full of dreams and the foundation for so many memories for me, my partner, Lizz, and our pups, Fig and our recently adopted little Rye.

It was more than four walls. It was where we built our life together, where I created Altadena Bread Co. Where we could listen to the owls and coyotes at night and wake to see the golden finches and bluebird flock to the backyard watering hole. It’s where our fruit trees gave us endless gifts, that would inevitably be stolen by the critters.

It was a part of an incredible community we love so deeply. Friends, neighbors, wildlife, and a peaceful escape from the bustle below.

These past two years have already been some of the hardest for us, filled with trauma and loss that we’ve often kept private. Honestly, life was just starting to feel better about a month ago. We thought we were turning a corner, but this loss has left us heartbroken and completely displaced.

Asking for help doesn’t come easily to me, I’m really good at just getting things done and I feel a bit sheepish even writing this. In fact the only reason I’m writing this, is because so many asked how can they help & insisted that I do this. And in all truth, we need the help.

We’re raising funds to cover essential costs as we find stability. These are things like clothes, food, shelter the basics. We don’t know where we will go at this point.
