Help Jeremy tackle his Brain Injury
Donation protected
Our nephew Jeremy was involved in a terrible accident on July 4. He sustained a traumatic brain injury, which causes a profound disturbance of consciousness , along with skull and facial fractures. He is currently in ICU at University Hospital in a medically induced coma. He is on a ventilator and he has come out of one successful surgery to relieve some of the pressure in his brain from the swelling. Jeremy is a loving and caring son, brother, nephew, cousin, grandchild and friend to so many. He is a blessing to all by being a source of laughter and positivity and does not deserve to be in this situation. Jeremy has been a Holy Cross Knight since he was born and is a proud alumni from the class of '19. It is times like these where we need to rely on each other as a Holy Cross family because we truly believe "once a knight always a knight". He plays football at Sterling College and is a hard working student-athlete that was looking forward to his next season as a sophomore.
The most challenging thing to face is the fact that we are in the midst of a pandemic and unfortunately his parents, family and friends are not able to see him, hold his hand or give him a kiss and tell him everything is going to be ok. Imagine not being able to hold your child after a traumatic moment in his life. Imagine having to leave your child in a hospital all alone. His mother is unable to spend the time she needs with her baby due to Covid-19. She will be able to take a leave of absence but without pay. So many have come forward and asked how they can assist the family and while we do ask for prayers and moral support, financial issues are something the family cannot avoid. We ask that you graciously donate to Gibby and Veronica so his family can prioritize getting their baby home safely without carrying the burden of their finances. We will keep everyone updated with his status and ask for continued prayers.
