Help Jeri regain her speech

Jeri Danielle Ward (maiden name Yarber) is the current Mrs Ohio, family/child services social worker, volunteer and all round beautiful human being. She spends her time helping others less fortunate than herself and if you know anything about Jeri you will know her kind heart and passion for helping people less fortunate than herself.
On Thursday October 25th 2018, Jeri suffered a sudden stroke while sitting on the sofa with Husband Dean. Unable to talk or move she was eventually able to slur some words to Dean who immediately took her to the ER. Jeri had a series of tests, multiple CAT scans, MRI’s and a 3 hour long angiogram (which she was awake during the whole procedure), they learned that Jeri had a clot in the area of her brain that controls speech and also a condition in her carotid artery (moyamoya) which is limiting the blood flow to the left side of her brain which could cause future stroke and brain issues if not resolved.
Jeri has been in the ICU for a week and a half now and has had three separate angiogram procedures. Unfortunately the medication that Jeri has been on has not allowed for the artery vessels to open up as hoped - that vessel may have been closed for a long time... we have no way of knowing this. If we attempted to surgically open this vessel it could hemorrhage and create further complication. Jeri will therefore be moved from an IV blood thinner onto an oral blood thinner as a surgical solution can be discussed and planned. She will undergo extensive speech therapy, with check ups as we plan the next surgical plan. Unfortunately Jeri had a complication from one of the angiograms that resulted in a clot in her left groin/leg. Jeri will have yet another surgery to remove the clot and repair the leg artery. Luckily this problem was caught early that it did not result in further complication of blood flow to her leg.
This young couple have been inundated with well wishes, prayers, love and support from friends and family from all over the states and beyond wanting to offer help. Our primary focus is on Jeri regaining her speech and writing skills which will take time, patience but also resources.
Money raised will help with Medical bills and help pay for speech / physical therapy to help Jeri regain her speech - any remaining money raised will go to the National Stroke Association to help prevent other individuals from going through this terrifying experience.
Thank you for your love and support of Jeri and Dean as they embark on Jeri’s road to recovery.
