Hey family and friends- Most of you know by now that Connie (our sweet mama) is fighting brain cancer. Over the weeks since her diagnosis, we have cried and laughed and cried some more together as we try to come to grips with this new reality.

Many of you have reached out and asked how you can help or support, so we decided to offer a way for everyone to come alongside them. Mom and Dad are resourceful and generous, and have always found a way to make things work, while supporting so many others thru hardships over the years. Now we have a chance to support them and lighten the load.

Connie begins 6 weeks of treatment in August and we are coming together to cover the costs for our parents:

- Medical expenses
- Costs for living expenses since they won't be working - Dad is such a loving and patient care taker!
- After 6 weeks of treatment, we want them to be able to travel to see family and friends for perhaps the last time.
- Provision to give them the freedom to enjoy this time without having to worry about mortgage, bills, food, etc.
- End of life costs and beyond.

And on top of those immediate needs, my parents are coming up on their 50th wedding anniversary in January! 50 Years! Our conversations have regularly turned to that date with longing to celebrate the wonderful life and marriage they have shared together. We are hoping to help my parents enjoy their 50th with a few surprises, and let them celebrate their love and life together for the last 5 decades. 

This is all a surprise for them - they would never let us do it if they knew! We are excited to shower them with love and an outpouring of support on this painful journey. Jerry, Cheri and I would be so thankful and honored by any contributions, knowing that the greatest gift is your love and prayers for them.
