Help Jerry McMillan on his Road to Recovery

My name is Ashlie Johnston and I'm raising funds for my dear friend and former work partner, Jerry McMillan. If you can find it in your heart to donate, any amount, or even your prayers, Jerry and his family will be eternally grateful.

Jerry is a former Grady paramedic and former deputy sheriff who has dedicated his life to public service.

On June 16, 2024, Jerry was severely injured in a fall that resulted in a spinal cord injury and ultimately a laminectomy. He's been hospitalized since the accident, 6 of those days in ICU. At this point, Jerry does not have feeling in his hands, but does have partial feelings in his legs.

It is anticipated that he'll move to inpatient rehab within the next few days, meanwhile the bills are piling up. Jerry's wife, Lise, has missed work to be by his side and his short-term disability doesn't begin to cover the bills, especially with two special needs children at home.

Jerry is facing a long, difficult, recovery. His journey towards recovery will be infinitely easier without the added stress of worrying about bills and how to take care of his family.
