Help Jes get a dyslexia diagnosis
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
My name is Jes, and I am reaching out for your support to raise £2000 to help me manage and overcome the challenges of dyslexia. For those who may not be familiar, dyslexia is a learning difficulty that affects reading, writing, and spelling. Despite being intelligent and capable, I often struggle with tasks that others might find straightforward.
Growing up with dyslexia has been incredibly challenging. Simple tasks like reading a book, following written instructions, or even writing an email can take me hours and leave me feeling exhausted and frustrated. These challenges have affected my education, my confidence, and my ability to reach my full potential.
Despite these obstacles, I am determined to succeed. To do that, I need access to specialised resources and support. Here’s how your generous contributions will make a difference:
1. Specialist Tutoring: Professional tutoring tailored to my needs can help me develop strategies to manage dyslexia effectively.
2. Assistive Technology: Tools such as speech-to-text software and dyslexia-friendly reading apps can greatly enhance my learning experience.
3. Workshops and Courses: Attending workshops and courses designed for people with dyslexia will provide me with new techniques and support networks.
4. Books and Materials: Access to dyslexia-friendly books and learning materials will make studying less daunting and more enjoyable.
5. GCSE help: My GCSEs are only 1-2 years away and i’m not able to access the help and support I need without a diognosis. this would heavily improve my grades.
With your support, I can gain the skills and confidence I need to excel in my studies and future career. Every donation, no matter how small, brings me one step closer to overcoming the hurdles that dyslexia places in my path.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering supporting my journey. Your kindness and generosity mean the world to me. Warm regards, Jes :)
