Help Jess recover from horrific car crash
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Deb and I'm raising money to help our friend Jessie Rouse-Whipple from Pit River as she recovers from a horrific car crash at Big Bend. For those who don't know her, she is the Cultural Representative for the Illmawi Band of the Pit River Nation and Cultural Teacher at Local Indians for Education.
She's also is a talented jewelry artist using abalone, pine nuts and other traditional California materials.
#jessthejeweler (that's her hashtag) is a young cultural treasure in Northern California tribal communities, always sharing her knowledge and honoring cultural ways.
She's also raising three boys.
The car rolled three times and was totaled. Jess miraculously walked away from the crash but she needs our help in dealing with getting a new vehicle, and likely other expenses while she's getting back on her feet.
We haven't heard yet how much insurance will pay but it's never enough.
Jess will use the money to get a new car, which she needs for travel to and from work, transporting youth to ceremony and for gathering seasons.
I hope you all join me in helping this wonderful young lady. T'sep!
