Help Jess with financial struggles and return to school

As some of you know, I’ve decided to go back to college this semester. Unfortunately, paperwork with my GI Bill got messed up, and it’s past the deadline to be fixed, so I’m not able to use my military funding like I hoped for this semester. Because of that, the job I was hoping to have with the veterans office at the college is not able to employ me through the work-study program.
I won’t lie, going back to school full-time has really thrown me for a loop this semester. It’s been really rough getting back into writing and trying to stay on top of studying, being organized, and getting everything done that I need to. And on top of all this, keeping my mental health a priority.
Some of you may know that I have struggled with alcohol dependency, and I am thankfully sober now. Unfortunately, TJ and I are filing for our divorce, and I moved out last year. We are doing great co-parenting now, and we are good friends again and in a great place. I’ve gone back to school now to become an addiction counselor.
I have my paperwork filed for next semester and my job lined up, but right now, I’m really struggling to get by, even with the assistance I’ve used through various organizations. Some bills just can’t be covered, and I need to be able to pay for gas to get to school and internet so I can do my classwork at home.
Right now, December’s rent is paid; after that, I’m not sure (rent is $1,850). Anything at all would help, seriously… it’s gas in my tank for school at this point! It’s a new point in my life when I need a GoFundMe to ask for help. I’m sorry to even do this at this point…
