Help Jesse Rebuild After Ruidoso Wildfire

Donation protected
My name is Shannon Wheeler. My younger brother, Jesse, owned a home in the mountainous Ruidoso, New Mexico. On Monday, June 17, 2024, at 0900 hours, a wildfire (South Fork Fire) started several miles away from Jesse’s home. He packed a few belongings and important documents before heading to work. By 1800 hours, the entire town of Ruidoso was told to “GO NOW” and were not allowed back in their homes. 8,000 people were evacuated and the fire reached 15,000 acres in 24 hours. Based on the fire maps, we knew the fire moved past his home but we were hopeful his house survived. On June 19th, we received a photo of his home. There was nothing left but the bones of the willow tree in the front yard. Jesse lost everything!! My mom and dad drove from Montana to pick him up and he will be living with them until he can find another place to live. He had to quit his job because he had no place to live. 1500+ structures have burned so far and it is about 35% contained. He is heartbroken to say the least and is trying to stay positive.

I am asking for everyone's help. Any amount will help. All funds will go to helping Jesse get back on his feet. I thank you all in advance for your love and support. Jesse doesn't know I am doing this. I would like to be able to surprise him with some much needed support.
