Help Jesse's Fight Against Breast Cancer

To say the last few weeks have been a whirlwind would be an understatement. Prior to my breast cancer diagnosis, I was in the middle of some really exciting life changes! 

On February 23, 2021 I had my last day at my 'corporate-ish' job to go work for my aunt and help grow her small business. I was excited for the new adventure, but nervous for leaving behind a lot of the perks & security that my previous job provided.

On March 5th, 2021 (a little more than a week after I left my job), I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer (Invasive Ductal Carcinoma). I went from being so excited for my new job adventure to being completely stunned by this unexpected diagnosis and left wondering how I was going to manage all of this. 

This unfortunate timing means that I was left with no substantial health insurance to help cover the upcoming medical bills I will have. I was able to elect COBRA in order to continue my health insurance coverage from my previous employer, but it comes at a much higher monthly cost on my part. While having this coverage is going to help lessen the blow for some of the the medical bills, it unfortunately is not going to provide the financial relief that I am going to need throughout this battle. 

I have a long and hard road ahead of me this year with chemo, surgery, and radiation and I have no idea how much of a toll all of this will take on my body. I am unsure of how much I will be able to work, if at all, once I start my chemo treatments this Friday, March 19th. I am hopeful that I will have minimal side effects, but I am also realistic and want to plan for the most likely scenario of me needing to take some significant time off work to focus on my health and kicking cancer's a**. 

The donations provided will help tremendously in the  foreseeable future as I will have little to no income to pay for my medical bills that are not covered by my insurance or any of my monthly expenses (car payment, car insurance,  COBRA health insurance, prescriptions, etc.). Any and all donations will go straight into a secured bank account that only myself and my parents can access and will only be used for the purposes listed above. Again, thank you so much for the love and support. I will beat this.
