Help Jessica Beat Cancer!

Hello!  My name is Chelsea Neighbors.  My family and I are reaching out to everyone we know and love in an effort to provide help for my sister, Jessica Turner.  She was diagnosed with bladder cancer in August of 2015.  Since then, her battle has become quite severe.  She has endured eight surgeries to remove cancerous tumors and cells, many of which have left her in severe pain.  The cost from these surgeries alone has been astronomical.  In addition to the surgeries, she’s had four CT scans.  A few weeks after her diagnosis, her doctor started her on a course of FIFTEEN “intravesical” chemo treatments.  We were all holding out hope and praying fiercely that these treatments would work.  She was very ill during these treatments, and we as a family did our very best to help get her through them.  Much to our dismay, we found out in the Spring of 2016 that these treatments were in fact, not effective; instead of the cancer going away, it spread, and it spread aggressively.  Jessica’s oncologist found that the cancer was now in her lymph nodes and at a very aggressive “Stage 4 cancer”. 

She is currently in a new round of chemo treatments that will last for six months.  These treatments are severe and are causing her to become somewhat debilitated, extremely ill, and almost incapacitated.  This is all due to the side effects of these harsh chemo treatments.  In fact, she struggles to even breathe sometimes!  A few weeks ago she was diagnosed with pulmonary embolisms – blood clots in her lungs – as a result of the cancer and chemo.  That resulted in a hospital stay and now daily injections of blood thinners.  Her daily medications now cost more than some people’s monthly income!

Now here’s the good part:  We serve a great and mighty God, and each every one of us in this family believe that our sweet Jessica will be healed!  We know that God is working to perform a miracle in her life.  She has prayer warriors surrounding her and we are extremely grateful.  Jessica, herself, is a mighty prayer warrior.  She is also a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, and a loyal friend to many.  If anyone is in need, she is always ready to help.  God’s love radiates in and through Jessica.  Anyone who knows her can testify to that.  She is the perfect example of being God’s hands and feet. 

So, we as her family, ask you to HELP JESSICA BEAT CANCER.  We ask you to pray for her daily.  Also, we ask you to help us by helping her financially.  The weight of cancer and chemo is so very heavy.  Let’s ease the weight of this crushing financial burden for Jessica.  Together, we can do it!  We ask you to give what you can.  Every little bit will truly help!  So, from the bottom of our hearts, we thank you.  We will be praying for God to bless you.  We love you all!
