Help Jessica Fight Ovarian Cancer
Donation protected
In August 2018, Jessica was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Jess took a pro-quality of life approach to fighting the cancer. Luckily, the cancer has not yet spread to any other part of her body. Jess continues to work as she takes her chemotherapy treatment from home everyday.
Financial need
As of October 31st, Jess was dropped from her medical insurance after meeting her out of pocket maximum. She is working with a lawyer to fight the incident, but has been told it will be a bit of a long-winded process. In the meantime, she is paying for all treatment out of pocket to cover costs. Even with insurance, large parts of treatment have not been covered. Jess has had to deplete her savings and continues to work to pay current medical bills.
Jess is scheduled to start a second round of chemotherapy mid-December that will last around two months- the majority of which she will need to pay out of pocket for.
Jessica is someone who spends much of her time, whether at work or in her personal life, helping others and giving much more than she takes (though we are sure she would tell you it is a fair trade). She is the General Manager at Camp Tuolumne Trails, a camp in Groveland, CA for those with special needs and continues to serve a need she feels is greater than her own. We hope we can come together to help alleviate the added financial stress Jess is experiencing. As she has helped so many and continues to do so, please consider joining our team as we help support someone who would do the same for anyone else in a heartbeat.
We love you, Jess!
Including the upcoming round of chemotherapy, Jessica's medical and associated bills currently total $17, 524. All funds will go towards Jessica's medical treatment and needs. ** Total fundraising goal amount will be kept up to date as additional donations are received outside of the GoFundMe platform**
