We are setting up this account on Jessica’s behalf as her coworkers. We have worked with Jessica over the last decade and know that she is more than this senseless, random, cowardly act.
Jessica Marzett is
● A devoted, loving mother of two beautiful children
● A hardworking, dedicated co-worker and mentor
● A loving sister, aunt, daughter, granddaughter
● A loyal, compassionate friend
However, if you google Jessica Marzett, the first thing that comes up is a horrific, senseless act of violence that has transformed her life and the lives of her friends and family. At random, she was attacked while parking her car by three men who fired a total of 23 shots into her car. She was struck by at least 9 of these bullets.
What the attackers didn’t know was that their target was stronger than they could have imagined. She was determined that she would see her family again. She was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, shot in the chest twice, five times in the arm, and at least twice in the back. She has undergone more surgeries and pain than can be described here, but throughout her character and determination has shown through. She will need the help and support of her friends, family and all that know her story in order to begin putting her life back together after this senseless tragedy.
We are asking for your support however you may be able. We ask that you keep your positive thoughts and prayers with Jessica during this time. If you are able to contribute funds, they are anticipated to be used for the following:
1. Direct medical expenses including hospital bills, physical therapy, and therapy to address the trauma this has caused the family
2. Immediate financial needs such as housing, food and utilities due to lost wages 3. Replacement of her vehicle
4. Help in pursuing justice against her attackers
5. Setting up college accounts for her two wonderful children
Jessica is also entitled to receive funds from the State of Ohio Victim Compensation Fund but we believe that her expenses will exceed the allowable amount under this fund.
